I am deep into The Kingdom of Little Wounds by Susann Cokal. It is set in 16th century Scandinavia, so my Scandophilia (love of all things Scandinavian) is in high gear. I’ve been listening to CDs of Danish folk music I have by a band called Phønix and a singer named Morten Alfred Høirup, who has a number of projects including a band named Himmerland.
