Last week, I had an event almost every night. Next week I have an event every night. This week is the calms between the storms. The older I get the more I hate going out at night. So, I thought I’d turn it into a poem of sorts.

Three Weeks

Monday’s child was a Book Club meeting for Falling in Love With Close Reading.

Tuesday’s child was a staff meeting & house blessing

Wednesday’s child was a training with Tiffin.

Thursday’s child was a PD Facilitators meeting.

Friday’s child rested.

Saturday’s child went to PetSmart for OBHR.

Sunday’s child stayed home, exhausted.

Monday & Tuesday’s children stayed home.

Wednesday’s child will take minutes for our HOA.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday’s children will rest.

Monday’s child will go hear Jordi Savall with the Portland Baroque Orchestra.

Tuesday’s child has an Almsgiving committee meeting.

Wednesday & Thursday’s children have parent conferences.

Friday’s child has an appointment for a haircut and will begin her recovery.

Such busy children! Enjoy this calm week. We keep a monthly calendar posted on our refrigerator so that we know what ig going on. Some weeks are busier that when I was working.

I hear you! I enjoy a peaceful evening at home and once I’m in I don’t like to go back out again! And here’s the kicker, if I am out and about I most definitely like to be home by 7:00pm! With that being said, I absolutely loved your post! What a clever way to share all of your “busy”ness! 🙂

Just reading this makes me tired. My favorite weeks are ones with little to no outside evening commitments. Sometimes I worry that I’m turning into a hermit. Here’s to making it through next week and reaching recovery!
