Sleeping in on Spring Break #SOL15

I am, by nature, a morning person. I am aware that this can be annoying to night people, so I try not to be too cheery too early around them. In school days, I generally get up around 5 to drink coffee and mess around on the computer, reading or writing, until it is time to get walk the dogs, get ready and go to work.

I had hoped to sleep a little later during Spring Break. Maybe get up around 6:30 or 7. Alas, Fiona did not realize it was Spring Break. Lucy don’t get up until she has to, or until she hears foods sounds emanating from the kitchen. Fiona is like a Swiss train, even during Spring Break.

So, I’ve been getting up a bit after 5 every morning this week. It will mean an easy transition back to work on Monday. And that’s a good thing, right?

Morning people baffle me. 😉 I only get up at 6 am because I have to, and I try hitting the snooze button multiple times to make my sleep last longer. I’m a night owl. I’ll be sleeping until at least 8:30 during spring break!!

But don’t you love NOT having to hurry around and leave at a certain time? I love getting up early over days off as you can leisurely begin the day and stay in jammies as long as you want while you drink coffee, play or work on the computer, read…the day unfolds anyway you want. Happy Early Morning on Spring Break! D 🙂

Why is it that pets don’t understand a change in time schedules? I had a cat that never realized that 4:30 on a Saturday is not the time to get up as it is on Mondays through Fridays.

Perhaps this is the reason that I don’t have pets even though I still like getting up early! But then, my time is really my time:)
