Missing

9 Jan

My dryer is on the fritz.

It’s been going on for a while, now, but the ones digit disappears from the timer. I don’t know where it goes, but it has always come back.

Until now.

Missing

Have you seen this missing digit?

Now that’s funny! Not the missing number, but your writing. Hope there is a sighting soon and it returns home.

    Well said.
Perhaps you need to offer a reward for its return!

Mr. Whirlpool has already informed me what it will cost just to show up!

Maybe threatening with a “You can be replaced” will bring it back. 🙂

    What a fun slice!

What a clever slice! I especially like the dryer lint line. Your piece reminds me of my freshman year in college when midway through the year, another freshman walked down my dorm hallway, knocking on doors and asking, “Excuse me, has anyone seen my waistline. It seems to be missing. I haven’t seen it in weeks!” Hope your missing digit returns home safely 🙂

From one religious lint cleaner to another, I hope your plea for help is swiftly answered by effective agents.
